MopPets Club!
Hello to all! :) MOPpets Cub IS RECRUITING NEW MEMBERS!! . . . . . . . Do you know that there is a club that makes PUPPETS COME ALIVE? Have you heard of them before? Have you watched their performances before? Have you heard your seniors talking about it before? HAVE YOU MET THE PEOPLE IN MOPpets Club?
:)
Well, MOPpets Club is a club consists of members ONLY from 2 courses which are ECH and CPEE. That makes us special, aren't we? Let's see what are some of the performances that the MOPpets club had been involved in...
Just recently before our year 1s began their semester, they were entertained by our performance during the Freshmen Orientation Induction Programme.
Remember these characters? Seen them somewhere? We usually focus on performing backstage with our puppets but during this event, we tried something new by acting ourselves! It was sheer hardwork, of course! Where else can you get this talent of performing with puppets and performing with yourself?
So, do you think you can be like us or even better? JOIN MOPpets Club!
On 31st January 2010, MOPpets Club took a big step of performing in the public! We performed at an event called Run My Lunch which was organised by a team of dedicated students from School of Humanities. (Read more about the event here).
Not enough with this information? Hey, for this event, we appeared in STOMP too! Yes you read it right, we appeared in STOMP, that very popular online news website! Check it out here!

We were honoured to be able to present our skills and talent to a targeted group of audience which were the CHILDREN! However, the crowd was so overwhelming that even their parents, participants and even our very own students and lecturers sat down (under the hot sun!) and watched our performance. We had a short quiz about healthy lifestyles with the audience, sang with them the Hockey Pockey song, cheered with them and just simply mingled with audience! We had fun and so were them!
Do you like performing for children but you're shy to face the crowds? But you think you're totally fine performing with puppets? What are you waiting for then? JOIN MOPpets Club!
Every year, the MOPpets Club will also be busy preparing and practising for a yearly event which is the... RED CAMP!! It is specially for graduating secondary school students who took their time off to join the fun that NP has organized for them. One of the exciting shows is the PERFORMANCE FROM MOPPETS CLUB! :))
Without fail, every year, MOPpets Club would leave the graduating secondary students in awe as they become mesmerized with our cute, adorable and clever puppets! We can be so funny, you know? :) We would also present them with a few songs and a short skit that reflect the life of a student in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. We love RED camp as that is when we get to showcase our talent and flaunt our puppets! If you've been there watching our performance during last year's RED CAMP, then you should know us very well!
RED CAMP is one of our biggest event so we need all the creative ideas from all of you to create a memorable and enjoyable script for our skit. If you love fashion and just love cute clothes, you can flaunt your talent by designing clothes for our very own puppets! We can't let them go without clothes, right?
So, are you keen to be part of the fun? Can't wait to show what you've got? JOIN MOppets Club!
Simply email to moppetsclub@gmail.com NOW! (just state your name & handphone number and we will get back to you very soon!)
